The GMC Suburban was Chevy’s upmarket division’s take on the Chevy Suburban. Having been first created all the way back in 1935, it’s known for being the longest continuously used automobile nameplate in production. It has also traditionally been one of General Motors' most profitable vehicles. 

This example is a 1500, which in essence means that it was built on GM’s 1/2 ton chassis, whereas 2500s were built on a more heavy-duty 3/4 ton chassis.
